For several years, Becky and I have used a lightweight backpacking quilt in place of our traditional sleeping bags. Quilts are a strong trend in the world of ultra light weight backpacking - and for good reason! A well made backpacking quilt is lighter and more comfortable than a normal sleeping bag.
