The Wicked Lite Tee is everything a functional piece of clothing should be and nothing that it shouldn't. It is the fastest drying fabric I have ever tried. The fit is just right - with the smoothness of the fabric adding to the feeling of mobility that wearing the Wicked Lite gives you. It's great for hot Louisiana summer weather as it wicks sweat away better than anything I've tried. For these reasons, the Wicked Lite is the shirt I have picked for my favorite of spring '09.

Employee Favorites: Skip - Patagonia Sunshade Shirt and Nine Trails Shorts

I think the Sunshade shirt and the Nine Trails shorts are the perfect summer outfit for all my human powered sports. I like to cycle and kayak in them, but they are perfect for running (quick dry etc.). The Sunshade gives me the UPF protection to keep me healthy. As an added bonus, the UPF keeps my tattoos from fading prematurely. lol.

Employee Favorites: Amy - Patagonia Intercontinental Pants

The Intercontinental Pant from Patagonia is my favorite find of the season. It's an essential wardrobe piece for any fun loving outdoor enthusiast. They are my everyday pant because the stretch woven material is not only wrinkle free but allows me to get a full days work done in comfort. Then when the weekend arrives and I'm heading for the water I roll them up and snap them into capri mode and they go to work for me. The water beads off of them because of there durable water repellent and no sunscreen to apply these lightweight pants are great sun protection. Now I just need every color.

Employee Favorites: Kristin - Patagonia Margot Dress

I love the cut of this dress - very clean and simple - with a touch of something different. With all the technical clothes I use and own nearly everyday, it's nice to wear this comfortable and classy dress while enjoying the food and music of Lafayette.

Pack & Paddle Introduces New Fishing Department

It's been a few months in the making, and we are now excited to announce the addition of fishing gear to our lineup here at Pack & Paddle. We are carrying gear for both fly and spin/cast fishing.


On the Fly Fishing side, you can now shop for rods and reels from TFO, flies from Rainy's and lines and accessories from Jim Teeny. We are carrying rods for trout, bream, bass, redfish and speckled trout fishing. You will also find lines, leaders and flies for all these applications as well.

For Spin/Cast fishing, we are carrying St. Croix. Known for its American made quality and it's amazing performance on the water, these rods can be a huge upgrade to your fishing - and start at only $79.95. These rods run from Ultra-Light spinning rods for creek fishing to medium-heavy rods to handle the beefiest reds on the coast. You can pair your St. Croix rod with a spin or baitcast reel from Shimano. We're stocking basic tackle such as Bass Assassin jig heads, Gulp Saltwater baits and Sufix lines.

Kelty has the perfect solution for bringing your child along on your next adventure! The FC1 (left) is a super comfortable child carrier designed for longer days.
