Pack & Paddle Introduces New Fishing Department

It's been a few months in the making, and we are now excited to announce the addition of fishing gear to our lineup here at Pack & Paddle. We are carrying gear for both fly and spin/cast fishing.

On the Fly Fishing side, you can now shop for rods and reels from TFO, flies from Rainy's and lines and accessories from Jim Teeny. We are carrying rods for trout, bream, bass, redfish and speckled trout fishing. You will also find lines, leaders and flies for all these applications as well.

For Spin/Cast fishing, we are carrying St. Croix. Known for its American made quality and it's amazing performance on the water, these rods can be a huge upgrade to your fishing - and start at only $79.95. These rods run from Ultra-Light spinning rods for creek fishing to medium-heavy rods to handle the beefiest reds on the coast. You can pair your St. Croix rod with a spin or baitcast reel from Shimano. We're stocking basic tackle such as Bass Assassin jig heads, Gulp Saltwater baits and Sufix lines.

We invite you to visit our new department next time you're in the store!

Kelty Kid Carriers

Kelty has the perfect solution for bringing your child along on your next adventure! The FC1 (left) is a super comfortable child carrier designed for longer days. The carrier can be set on the ground and used as a free standing chair for the child. Also the bag below the child area carries extra supplies for the day.
The TC2 (center) offers a slightly simpler and less expensive option for carrying your kid on your back. While not designed for as long of days, this carrier still is super comfy for you and your child and offers day-pack functionality for your gear.
The Kangaroo (right) is the most comfortable front carrier on the market. This snugs your child right up to your chest with supportive straps to reduce fatigue. A small pouch offers space to put essential gear.

Patagonia Sunshade Gear

In Stock Now!:
The Sunshade is a new take on an old idea. Create a high SPF sun protection shirt. What Patagonia has added is more mobility and flexibility. This is perfect for folks wanting to move their arms easily - Paddlers and fishermen love this shirt! In addition, you can avoid looking like the legions of people wearing chartruese and pink columbia fishing shirts.

Coming soon!:
Add to your new Sunshade a Sun Mask for full protection: Here's Patagonia's description of this new product: Inspired by old-school bandana face protection, the Sun Mask improves the concept with an anatomically designed shape and our new, ultralight, quick-drying 30 UPF polyester fabric. The top hugs your face without unwanted pressure, while the bottom flares for neck coverage.

Top it off with a pair of Sun Gloves for full sun protection. Here's Patagonia's description of this new product: Take a look at an old flats guide's hands and you'll get a pretty good idea of why we made these. Of course, there's always sunscreen, but it tends to make slippery work of casting and line control, and who wants coconut-scented flies, anyway? The solution is a light, comfortable, fingerless glove made from quick-drying, 30 UPF polyester (84% recycled) fabric. The webbed-finger design and out-of-the-way seam placement make Sun Gloves easy to wear and easy to slip on and off. Your hands will thank you.

Women like to kayak fish too! Join the wave with a new Native kayak that's perfect for any female angler.

The Manta Ray 11 offers easy, smooth paddling characteristics, a self bailing hull perfect for any type of water in a light, easy to handle package.
